good Faith Estimate

We provide a Good Faith Estimate:
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club. We use a service called Stripe, authorization for charges to credit cards and a valid credit card must be on file prior to starting services.

How do I set up an initial appointment?
We offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation because we believe it’s important to ensure we’re the right fit to support your journey. You can schedule your consultation here, and if you don’t see a time that works for you, please let us know through the contact form—we’ll be happy to reach out to find a time that fits your schedule.

We understand that reaching out takes courage, so please allow us up to two business days to respond.

What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens—whether it’s work, kids, or unexpected events, we completely understand. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible. You can call us or use the secure portal to update us.

However, to respect the time set aside just for you, we ask for a minimum of 48 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments canceled less than 48 hours in advance, or no-shows, will incur a $150 fee, charged to the credit card on file after the first 15 minutes of the scheduled session. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the session will be considered a no-show.

We value your commitment to therapy, so if there are three consecutive missed sessions, cancellations, or no-shows, we may need to re-evaluate our work together to ensure you’re getting the support you need.

Do you take insurance?
In-network:
We are currently a proud Military OneSoure Provider. We are in-network with Aetna and Optum at this time.

We are also members of Alma, a company that partners with select insurance companies to make insurance billing seamless.

If you would like to use insurance, please complete a consultation request.

Alma will notify you with information regarding your co-pay amount, if any, and will determine your eligibility before your first visit and process your insurance billing.
This is a service we maintain to offer simplicity for our clients and ourselves. There is no added fee for this service. Currently under Alma, we accept Aenta, UHC, and
You can check if your insurance by visiting the website below, please note this does not guarantee payment and this is not a contract for service:

Out-of-network:
We are considered out-of-network for all other insurance carriers.
You may be able to receive reimbursement, depending on your insurance plan.
We encourage you to contact your insurance company to inquire if your plan covers out-of-network mental health coverage.

It is helpful to ask if you have a deductible and inquire about the maximum allowed reimbursement for psychotherapy.
You will be responsible for all payments before service and can request a “superbill” at the end of our session, which allows you to submit your bill for possible reimbursement. We can offer a superbill for you to submit to your insurance, however, this doesn't guarantee reimbursement.
We have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Use this tool below to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.

What do I do in a mental health crisis?
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7, or go to your nearest emergency room.
If you are in immediate danger, dial 911. Please do not leave a message if you are in crisis as our phones are not monitored for emergencies.

How do I prepare for a session?
Preparing for your session is an important part of prioritizing your well-being. To ensure you get the most out of each session, it’s essential to:

Prioritize Yourself
This time is dedicated to you and your healing journey. It’s important that you make yourself and your session a priority. Avoid distractions like checking your phone, scrolling through social media, or doing tasks unrelated to your mental health during this time. Your session is an opportunity for reflection and growth, so fully committing your time and energy is key.

Find a Quiet, Confidential Space
Your environment plays a crucial role in the success of your session. Make sure you are in a quiet, comfortable space where you feel safe and secure. Confidentiality is a priority, so it’s important to be in a place where you won’t be overheard or interrupted. This ensures you can speak freely without worrying about being interrupted or your privacy being compromised.

You Are Not Allowed to Drive
For safety reasons and to ensure you can fully engage in the session, it’s critical that you are not driving during our appointments. Therapy requires your full attention, and driving would not only be unsafe but also take away from the focus and reflection needed for your well-being.

This commitment to creating a safe, private, and focused environment is part of our dedication to supporting your mental and emotional health.
